Fundamental political, cultural, and social transformations during this period repeatedly impacted literary and cultural periodicals, as well as the daily press. The immediate post-war period, characterized by the swift renewal of literary and cultural life, as well as a rapid increase in the publication of literary texts, was in 1948 followed by growing restrictions on the freedom to disseminate one's own work, peaking in 1952. After this, there was a certain revival of literary production, which remained essentially stable in the second half of the 1950s. In addition to general quantitative data, this study tracks changes in more narrowly focused data sets, especially those concerning the publication of poetry during the period in question. The main goal of the study is to challenge certain stereotypes associated with the category of online authors and digital literature in general. The data was acquired in bibliographical format MARC21, and the final dataset contained 11,019 items covering the period 1998–2021. The dataset included 59 e-sources on various topics. The dataset was analysed for information regarding gender, age, publication activity, and publishing houses or genres reviewed. The quantitative findings produced by this analysis allowed us to visualize data in the format of a timeline and, at the same time, explore trends in certain reviewers' behaviour. The results indicate that the online environment is gender-balanced, with the majority of reviewers being over 30 years old. They typically publish in a single electronic source for several years. Further research will require the collection of additional data comparing e-sources of the same type, as well as more information about the authors' year of birth. It describes how the development of the database defined the excerption scope, presents findings based on possible interpretation of the obtained data (primarily addressing questions concerning authorship, genre, and theme), as well as various ways in which the prepared data can be misleading (due to, for example, incompleteness of the dataset investigated, and specific issues raised by cataloguing in MARC 21 format). In the case of the short stories published in the collection Železný vlk (1923), their narrative situation was also analysed. The short story Za cizí město is considered a key one, pointing out the difficult situation of our soldiers during the Russian Civil War. In the extensive children's novel Pes druhé roty (1923), the author's effort to create a complex artistic image of the Siberian anabasis of the legionnaires is captivating. The mythicizing position, which could already be identified in the seeds in short stories, is fully exposed here. The most famous drama with the theme of the legions, Jízdní hlídka (1935), was already created with a longer gap between the events depicted and presents a different, no longer unequivocally positive, image of the legionnaires. A comparison with play Plukovník Švec (1928) written by Langer's comrade-in-arms Rudolf Medek, which is based on a specific historical event and caused an extensive controversy, is offered. It focuses especially on her latest prose Fánek hvězdoplavec. The study tries to identify characteristic features of the author's poetics, the key motifs of her works and the relationship to the child reader. All this is situated within the context of author's work for adults.
