Využití kulturního dědictví v praxi - muzeologický pohled na univerzitní sbírky a muzea v mezinárodním kontextu

Abstrakt
Tento článek se zabývá otázkou, jakou úlohu sehrávají v současnosti univerzitní sbírky a muzea, přičemž poukazuje na jejich specifické charakteristiky v celkovém kontextu institucí vyššího vzdělávání. Snaží se objasnit, jak se z nashromážděných vědeckých předmětů stane sbírka a jak se poté sbírky proměňují v univerzitní muzea. Zkoumá přitom rozdíly mezi skupinou předmětů, sbírkou a muzeem z hlediska akademického dědictví. Zásadní pozornost je věnována důležitosti a významu a v neposlední řadě také hodnotě akademického dědictví – hmotným i nehmotným statkům uchovávaným institucemi vyššího vzdělávání a roli, kterou toto dědictví hraje jak v akademickém prostředí, tak v současné společnosti. Využitím teorie muzeologie a jejím aplikováním na akademické sbírky a dědictví tak článek vyplňuje pomyslnou mezeru ve výzkumu. Související činnosti v podobě shromažďování, uchovávání, zkoumání a prezentace představují jevy, které v průběhu věků nabývají různých forem. V tomto kontextu jsou předměty začleněny do sítě aktérů a okolností, které definují jejich význam a důležitost z hlediska historických událostí, podmínek, konkrétní doby, osob a míst. S ohledem na tyto souvislosti si článek klade za cíl definovat potřeby a výzvy, kterým univerzitní muzea a jejich sbírky čelí v kontextu institucí vyššího vzdělávání, kde slouží primárně pro potřeby akademického výzkumu a výuky, jsou v nich hojně využívány, a tím i začleňovány do každodenní praxe.
