The author observes how the attempts of Brno musicology school led by Jiří Vysloužil (especially in connection with the preparations of entries to the Czech part of the Czechoslovak music dictionary) influenced the new views e.g. on music regionalistics and on researches on the history of music and music culture in the Czech lands. At the end the author mentions how it was reflected in the preparations of the study Music culture in Ostrava from the end of the 19th century to the present.
