Sexual education in the family: what is known from research studies

Abstract
This theoretical study examines findings of foreign research studies on sexual education in the family. The study seeks to examine whether sexual education takes place in the family, what its content is, and what influences this content. It further explores the specific issues associated with sexual education in the family and the role of parents in the education process. The introduction of the study defines sexual education and other related terms such as sexual communication and sexual socialization.
