Abstrakt
The author analyses the most recent (published after 2004) history textbooks for lower secondary school in Poland from the series Tracing the Pasty, ed. by Stanisław Roszak, and We Are Exploring the Pasty by Polish Educators Society from Toruń. She argues that those textbooks help the young people not only broaden their knowledge but also develop a skill to acquire it from different sources (wide range of images: reproductions, posters, didactical sketches, maps, schemes, tables), including the written ones.
