Abstrakt
Muzea jsou společenskými centry, která nabízejí jedinečné příležitosti ke kontaktu s artefakty na mnoha úrovních. A když muzea spolupracují s odborníky na zdravotní péči v zájmu vytváření léčebných a ozdravných komunit, začnou se dít úžasné věci. Muzea můžou prostřednictvím specializovaných programů a prostor podporovat duševní i tělesnou pohodu pod vedením odborných zdravotníků. Nemocnice a pečovatelská zařízení můžou zase vytvářet pro své pacienty jedinečné příležitosti ke kontaktu s muzejními sbírkami v zájmu podpory léčebného procesu. Díky této spolupráci se pacienti, pečovatelé i odborníci zapojují do aktivit na podporu zdraví, jejichž výsledkem jsou zdatnější jednotlivci, komunity i celá společnost.
