Digitálne zbierky a problém muzeality

Abstrakt
In the article, the author deals with the issue of museality in a virtual environment. The digital world is here, it is real and yet fictional. Is it even possible that processes analogous to the real world, which would lead to musealisation and thus to the proof of museality, could exist in such a materially intangible environment? In the process of analyses, the author uses the comparative method and, based on the identification of processes, finds out whether museality exists in the virtual environment. Then he also deduces the existence or non-existence of a virtual museum that would function according to museological rules. If such a museum exists, how should we approach it? What functions can be expected from it? What position do the digitised musealia have? These are just some of the questions that the author gradually asks himself during the analyses. In addition to these facts, the author also encounters some terminological problems and he defines, at least ad hoc, some concepts in order to be able to distinguish various aspects of the analyses.
