Zu den Quellen von Hus' Puncta: Jan Hus und Bernard Gui
This article points out a hitherto unknown source of Jan Hus's sermon collection Puncta – the Speculum sanctorale by French Dominican friar Bernard Gui († 1331). Jan Hus used it as a source in at least three sermons forming part of his Puncta, namely in those for the first Advent Sunday, Epiphany and All Saints. He shortened his model (at some places significantly) and supplemented it with biblical and patristic authorities not found in Bernard. Thus, the Speculum sanctorale must be counted among preaching aids used in late medieval Bohemia.
