Since the beginning of its existence, the material subsistence of the monastery was ensured not only by farming but also through subjective rent collected from villages, belonging to the monastery. In the 17th century the importance of monasterial farming grew significantly. At that time the administrative system was formed, which controled economical running of the monastery. Furthermore, the chief manor official also took part in political and judicial administration.
