Abstract
The author of the anthology Slezské písně Petr Bezruč had a good grasp of the ancient speeches as early as in his schooldays, and so he was able to read the old Greek and Latin poetry in original wording; the think is that his father taught Greek and Latin as a schoolmaster. There is no wonder that the poet, in this way, gained a good possibility to utilize some of the poetic means used by the ancient poets in his own work from these literature echoes of the antiquity in the poetry of Bezruč this paper follows especially his metrics (versus adonii, dactylus-line-rhythm).
