Abstrakt

This in-depth review aims to provide the reader with comprehensive insight and description of the project The Buddha Up Close, organized by the National Gallery Prague in cooperation with Museum Rietberg in the spring of 2022. The organizers' motivations and intentions, the exhibition's content lines with a description of the leading artefacts on display, and a review of the published catalogue and documentary series are discussed. The article also includes reports from two conferences held under the auspices of the project.
