Variación dialectal y evolución lingüística : los idiomas romances de la Península Ibérica

Vol.30,No.2(2009)

Abstract
In this paper we try to illustrate with modern and medieval iberoromanic examples the connection between dialectal variation and history of languages. We defend that actual dialectal variation may reflect old structures. We conclude that the aspect of time and the aspect of space are strictly correlated and the dichotomy between diachronic and synchronic studies must be resolved.
