L'écriture testimoniale au-delà de la temporalité narrative

Vol.31,No.2(2010)

Abstract
We analyze what it happens when a writer want to transcribe an experience and a reality which resist against the temporal dimension of the narration. We examine, with W ou le souvenir d'enfance of Georges Perec, the aesthetic and ethic choices of the author, in particular the capabilities of the language to produce descriptions, inventory and enumeration instead of narration and plot. We note there is suspension of the narrative temporality. The question of the space is highlighted. In that sense, there is experimental writing, directly linked with historical experiences, in particular the holocaust, which call in question the narrative capabilities of the tales.
