The autor of the present article analyzes the so-called Bologna process in European universities in the sphere of philology with speciaql regard to his own University of Bielsko-Biała, Poland, which is focused more on practical methodology of teaching and on the specific permeation of most modern metgods and disciplines, e. g. cognitivism and translatology opened towards the future profession of graduates in services, tourism, recreation, relaxation etc. Such an approach presupposes to accentuate practical and useful abilities, e. g. simultaneous interpretting, the knowledge of political and cultural area etc.
