On the margin of the novel Master and Margarita : (text as mystery, cipher, message of epoch)

Vol.14,No.1(2021)

Abstract
The paper deals with the novel Master and Margarita by M. Bulgakov from three aspects: 1) provides the basic information of publication of the censored version in the USSR; 2) discusses possible interpretations—from vulgar-sociological (A. Barkov) to esoteric (O. Kandaurov); 3) raises the question of the Czech translations by A. Morávková (2016) and L. Dvořák (2013). At the end, a brief reconstruction of space-time structure of the novel is given.
