The present study focuses on the professional journal Der Bautechniker, published in Vienna from 1880–1921. Although it was not a purely architectural journal, but a technical one, the publication of architectural projects played an important role in its content. The journal also served as a publishing platform for professional associations from Bohemia and Moravia, so on its pages we can find a number of plans and information related to our lands. The study focuses more closely on architects and builders from Liberec (Reichenberg), who over the years contributed copiously to the Der Bautechniker journal; thanks to this it is possible to enhance our knowledge of Liberec architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
