The Bulgarian worldview in teaching Bulgarian as a second language

Vol.23,No.4(2013)

Abstract
The acquisition of socio-cultural competence is a topical subject which is increasingly attracting attention in both foreign language teaching and intercultural education. In the process of teaching Bulgarian as a second language socio-cultural information is most often conveyed explicitly – descriptively and through explanation. The following research focuses on the implicit, more profound method with which this socio-cultural information can be conveyed – more specifically by putting an emphasis on the Bulgarian worldview reflected in the language.
