The article deals with the marginal position of lyric poetry in Soviet Russia – the author claims the middle of the 20th century could be taken as the begin of the restoration of it, especially in the poetry by Nikolay Rubtsov. The specific character of his talent, his biography and the iniqueness of the type of his poetics and the close relationship of Rubtsov with Daniil Andreev are mentioned.
