The article deals with the problem of text heterogeneity from the semantic and linguistic points of view. It presents the notion and analysis of semantic heterogeneity and polycode as two forms of text heterogeneity. There is also discussed the issue of text delimitation and two factors of identification of text heterogeneity are shown as well. Two points of view connected with the polycode phenomena are dealed confirming presented problems by the illustrative example.
