In this essay the autor investigates the little known poet Sumbatov. The essay addresses the problems of religiousness in the poetry of Sumbatov. The religious motive in Sumbatov's poetry has a moral meaning. Especially important is the prayer motive. The main topic of Sumbatov’s works is the relation between Man and God.
