The changes happening in language are socioculturally significant — the fact is remarkable in the light of an expansionism and anthropocentrism of modern scientific disciplines. Article is devoted to the many-sided analysis of a component anti- on the material of nonce words, appearing in modern mass communication. In particular, the question of the morphemic status of a component is brought up, derivational and semantic features of occasionalisms are described and enrichment of semantic components of a concept "opposition, confrontation" expressed by the international element anti- is also exposed to the analysis.
