The way to the roots - the way to the future : radio "Prudok" - the new word in the modern Belarusian literature

Abstract
This article introduces a book "Radio 'Prudok'" by A. Horvat, which became a genuine sensation and a national bestseller in no time. Andruś Horvat is a new name in contemporary Belarusian literature. His first book "Radio 'Prudok'" was published at the end of 2016. In 2017 it was appraised as one of the best Belarusian books and received two awards: “Debut” ("Дэбют") and "Golden letter" ("Залатая літара"). The book was also one of the shortlisted for the Jerzy Giedroyc award (2017). The analysis of the book focuses on examination of the title, associations and genre traits. Innovative tendencies emerge, attention is paid to the genre particularities of author's style and specific language means he uses. The way to the roots described in the book is a process of incessant dialogue which represents the connection of eras and to lyrical subject—the way to himself.
