Author Guidelines

The editors accept original scientific texts in Czech, Slovak, or English. Submissions can be sent throughout the year to the editorial office email address proinflow@phil.muni.cz. The length of the peer-review process is two months. The journal is published twice a year in an electronic version, with the spring issue appearing on 30 April of a given year and the autumn issue on 31 October of a given year. Articles after the peer-review process are displayed on the main page of the journal until the official publication of the next issue; thereafter, they can be found on the Archive page or searched using the search box. Information on the peer review process can be found under the Publication Ethics tab.

Formalities of submissions

The manuscript must include:

  • Title in Czech (Slovak) and English
  • Structured abstract in Czech and English. It should include:
    • Purpose – introduction to the problem addressed, the aim of the paper, classification of the paper into a specific category, see below.
    • Design/methodology/approach – description of the research design, methods used, underlying theoretical framework, or paradigm.
    • Results – findings of the study, limitations of the research, practical or social implications of the research.
    • Originality/value – how the contribution is new or useful, author's recommendations
  • Keywords in Czech (Slovak) and English in the range of 3-10 terms.
  • A note about the author in Czech (Slovak) in the range of 250–1000 characters. Please include your name, place of work, and e-mail.
  • The list of literature used should be alphabetical and according to the APA standard. A manual for citing according to the APA standard (in Czech) is available, for example, from the Institute of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Arts, MU.
    • For a meta-analysis, all sources mentioned in the meta-analysis must be included in the list of sources used. It is good practice to mark these sources with an asterisk and add the following statement before the first entry in the reference list: "References marked with an asterisk indicate studies included in the meta-analysis." If the list of sources is too long, place the references from the meta-analysis in a separate list and submit this list as an appendix. If a reference to the meta-analysis is included in the text, it should appear in both the reference list and the appendix.
