Reflection of LIS University Representatives on educational trends: Focus Groups Study

Abstract

The study presents attitudes of LIS University Representatives towards educational trends in scope. Attitudes were obtained during Learned disputation meeting of LIS scholars at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk university. In first part a description of used method is outlined. The Second part analyses the results of the meeting. The study unfolds main principles of curriculum construction, scholar’s perceptions and attitudes towards change of LIS teaching concept and impact of ICT and information services on teaching and collaboration among LIS departments.
