Edventure design model: practical use of the PLE concept

Abstract

The following text deals with a practical approach to the concept of personal learning environment (PLE) using Edventure design model. Edventure design model is one of the results of work, created by Edventure project team and was developed as a tool for design and management of self-directed learning. This work describes a theoretical background of the model and its particular parts and its relationship with theory of connectivism, where the PLE concept plays a major role. This work also introduces a brief manual and methodology in a form of practical application, which demonstrates a practical use of PLE and Edventure design model within self-directed learning.
