Dobrovský's successors : ethnolinguistic and geocultural contexts in comparative slavonic philology

Abstract
The author of the present contribution deals with the substantial features of Josef Dobrovský's methodology and that of his successors in European Slavonic studies. He accentuates his enlightenment ratinalism, source criticism and heterogeneity of his scholarly interests continued by some other European slavists, especially in comparative philology with Slavonic geocultural and ethnolinguistic background.
