Abstract
Julien Gracq's novel Les Rivages de Syrtes (1951) by the typology of the imagination and thematical and motivical structures belongs to the cultural and literary sphere of the Mediterranean which in one of his most important theoretical conception deals the Slovak comparatist Dionýz Ďurišin who describes this relation of signs as an cultural, social and geographic complex.
