Constitutive contradictions of dialogical acting and their anthropological generalization

Vol.13,No.2(2010)

Abstract
Dialogical acting has the character of natural experiment. The subject is experiencing an extreme situation in a relatively controlled environment for a certain period of time ("public loneliness"). This situation enables, supports, and reflects a specific type of acting and experiencing. Its experimental and public character of acting with inner partner, systematically processed in a long-term perspective, allows a detailed research whit a scale of different methods applied (reflection of the researcher's own experience, who has practiced the acting with inner partner; watching the others practicing hic et nunc; video records, reflections by several participants; interviews etc.). Based on this empirical knowledge, a presumption that acting with inner partner is based on a transformation through a certain constitutive contradiction has been accepted. This paper formulates a set of contradictions and paradoxes fundamental to the process of acting with inner partner, simultaneously aiming to achieve its anthropological generalization.
