The paper implements the analysis of Andrei Platonov's literary work "The Foundation Pit" based on the author's "children's" stories, used to crystallize out the author's concept in all its purity, and expressed in the ideas of "living with all and for all", "a man in the fierce and beautiful world". The comparison of the "children's" stories with "The Foundation Pit" novella, discovers all the depth of the tragedy of the inverted, Godabandoned world, depicted inthe novella.
