Peer review
Brünner Beiträge zur Germanistik und Nordistik is a peer reviewed scholarly journal and all articles must therefore meet the formal and professional criteria it sets.
Every submission, when received, is reviewed by two independent scholars in the field. Review process is supposed to be anonymous for both sides and consists of two parts: a “signed” report addressed to the editorial board (answering the question of originality and quality of the submission), and anonymous notes addressed to the author of the submission (evaluating the way of argumentation, the quality of used language, the conciseness of the abstract, bibliography etc.). On the basis of these notes, the contributor may be asked for the revision of the submission, in case the author refuses to revise the paper, this cannot be accepted. The journal will inform the author of the reviewers' judgements as soon as possible. Manuscripts are not returned, there is no financial gratification. The final decision on publication lies with the Chair of the Editorial Board.
