Communication with parents of underachievers through teachers’ eyes

Abstract

The paper discusses the topic of communication between teachers and parents of underachievers at school, focusing on the teachers’ view of this communication. The paper is built around a qualitative study based on in-depth semi-structured interviews with teachers whose class groups included long-term underachievers. The paper hopes to contribute to the debate on strategies for improving relations between the school and the family.
