Inequalities in Education and Social Change in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The paper discusses contemporary theories concerning educational inequality, which it summarizes and divides
into categories. It provides a brief analysis of the current state of tertiary education in the Czech Republic and introduces two theories of educational inequality: Maximally Maintained Inequality (MMI) and Effectively Maintained Inequality (EMI).
